Rancho San Lucas is a Greg Norman Design near Cabo, Mexico. It is an interesting blend of desert and links golf. Norman decided to use a sod wall bunker edge style, as a theme running right through the golf course, helping the blend the links and desert style holes. In this climate the only viable method for delivering sod wall bunkers is EcoBunker’s synthetic edge product. In 2018 EcoBunker CEO Richard Allen provided on site training for the local contractor ‘Par Tres Golf’ and then the remaining bunkers were completed under the expert supervision of Danny Fore (Greg Norman Design) and John Nurminen (Project Manager). Rancho San Lucas was the first golf course in Mexico to use this construction method, and also benefits from a beautiful Aquaedge installation around the stunning island green 17th hole.
